GHOST PARTICLES.
Yup, it's as cool as it sounds.
What exactly are ghost particles? It's a new feature VVIVID® has been testing and working to impliment in their products. Instead of using metallic flake and other powders to create a realistic paint film, VVIVID® has been working to use a mixture of reflective and chrome powders to enhance their films. The ultimate goal is to offer a product no other manufacturer can.
What do ghost particles do? Well, it does a couple things. Firstly, it subtly enhances the brightness of the color in sunlight and during the night, similar to how a stop sign works. VViViD® puts just enough reflective powder to give body lines a subtle aura and depper & darker recesses giving out extreme contrast, highlighting your vehicles shape and curves.
To our surprise, testing shows us that the implimentation of reflective powders also adds a layer of UV protection. When we look at metallic versus reflective, we find that metallic flakes deteriorate much quicker than reflective particles. Metallic particles can reduce longevity of vinyl wraps from 5-7 years to 2 years especially in hot areas. This deterioration is not seen in reflective particles.
With the combination of enhanced colors, finishes and longevity, we hope to be a more unique choice in the industry.

In the above photograph we can see effects of direct sunlight on the ghost particles. It gives off an intense metallic finish where the highlights are extremely bright and recesses dark.
In standard lighting, the new ghost films gives off a highly metalluc ( almost aluminum-feel) to the product. In regular lighting, we still get the dramatic difference between light and dark compared to the older type.
